Hi, I’m Erin!
I write about movies of all kinds, from made-for-TV dramas to obscure horror films to whatever else happens to catch my attention. My background is in literary criticism, including film deconstruction. I will rarely tell you whether a film is worth your time, because if I wrote about it, I think it’s worth a look.
Sometimes a film has a lot of hidden meaning. Usually the interesting parts are the flaws. Always watching a movie sends me off on a tangent that has as much to do with life outside the screen as it does with the film itself. I just go where my thoughts take me.
I also make videos on YouTube. At Tell Me A Movie, I imagine I’m telling a friend on the phone what I noticed about a movie.
Film Chat With Erin is my late-night film-radio project, broadcasting from the fictional town of Moxey Bluff, Georgia, where we always catch the late show. Film Chat might be a fictional station, it might be a pirate station, it might be a dream, we’re not sure where the story is going to take us. You can leave a comment about films here or on YouTube to be read on air if you choose.

Sounds good…but just be gentle…I’m a big chicken when it comes to horror 😉 When I was a teen, I loved horror (I’d read and watch with pleasure) and these days, I’m too scared to even start one…

Have you seen Lake Mungo? That’s the modern haunted house movie I recommend often. Another good one from this century is Pontypool, which is sort of a zombie movie but a thinking person’s one.
